(1955) 2010 new edition. Coch-y-Bonddu Books. Machynlleth, Mid-Wales. Paperback with flaps. Pp168. B/w illustrations by Corona Thornycroft. Fine unread copy.
Notes: 'Fowler's Moon' is a delightful and nostalgic book on wildfowling written (and smuggled out) by Nigel Thornycroft while in a P.O.W. camp, using an illegal pencil and scraps of toilet paper. 'Fowlers Moon' was originally published in 1955 and established Nigel as an icon of English coastal wildfowlers. It has never before been reprinted and copies of the original are rare and highly collectable. This volume can be ordered separately, or in as a set with 'Nigel & Corona: A Family Story of Adventure, Sport, Wilderness & War from England to Africa', in a slipcase, and with a bookplate signed by the authors, at a special price of GBP 36.00. Limited to 100 sets only. Both volumes are also available in a leather quarter-bound hardback Collector's Edition.
