John Searl was an artist, angler and proprietor of The Art of Angling gallery in Ringwood, Dorset. This book tells the story of his life as a fisherman, tracing his years of fishing the Avon and Stour and documents his many outstanding catches made between 1968 and the present day. It includes the capture of huge fish of almost every species these rivers contain and the many interesting characters he has met and fished with along the way. Many photographs from the archive as well as lots of John's superb paintings and illustrations. This edition was limited to only 1,000 numbered copies, the first 100 of which were bound in leather.
