A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT. By Norman Maclean. Wood engravings by Barry Moser.
(1976) 7th printing of the 1989 UCP edition. 8vo (147 x 223mm). Ppiv,161,i. Illustrated with wood engravings by Barry Moser. Blind-stamped fly motif in metallic-red ruled border to two-tone cream paper-covered boards, metallic-red titles to grey spine.
Norman Maclean's famous novel of Presbyterian angst and flyfishing and indeed one of the best-known angling books ever written. This edition was reprinted from Barry Moser's 1989 Pennyroyal Press edition, though in a smaller format. The publisher later (about 1992 and possibly to coincide with, or as a result of, the release of the film) reprinted the original 1976 version, which included two other short stories, but retained the 1989 ISBN. Those copies carrying this ISBN, but in blue dust-wrappers, from are 1992 or later, and are actually quite different from this edition.
