ANGLING WAYS. By E. Marshall-Hardy.

(1934) 1960 8th edition. Large 8vo (160 x 240mm). Pp384. B/w photograph plates, illustrations by the author. Green bonded leather library binding, titles to spine.

"I don't know any angling book that gives such value for money, that covers in such close detail almost every conceivable aspect of coarse fishing. It is born of a great love of fishing and a wealth of experience." Ken Sutton in "Angling in the News," 1960. The dust-wrapper flap states "9th edition," although the printing history on the title-paper verso gives no numbers after the fourth edition. On that list, this issue is billed as "revised and again enlarged." There are five entries after that of the fourth edition, all but the second of these being described as "revised". If all five entries are counted, this is the ninth edition, if only the "revised" entries are counted, this is the eighth edition.
