The story of Mitchell-Hedges' expedition on his yacht Cara from Jamaica to the Rio Chucunaque in Panama, fishing and collecting zoological and anthropological specimens. The fishing is largely for big sharks and rays, but includes tarpon, snook, snappers and jacks. He was accompanied by Lady M. Richmond Brown who took the photographs, and also wrote about this in "Unknown Tribes, Uncharted Seas". Mitchell-Hedges is best known outside angling circles as the possible discoverer of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull. He was President of the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain.
