CARP and CATFISH ADVANCED RIG BOOK. By Kevin Nash.
1988 1st edition. 8vo paperback (148 x 210mm). Pp104. B/w photographs, line illustrations. White card covers.
With contributions by Rod Hutchinson and Vic Gillings. Whilst tackle has obviously moved on since this book was written it is still of great use to the modern carp angler. A lot of good stuff on why rigs work (or indeed why they don't) and on carp behaviour when confronted with a baited rig. It is also a good reference to the slightly older rigs which, though they may have gone out of fashion, are still just as effective today as they were twenty years ago. Well worth a read for the thinking carp angler. Chapters include: Why do we need rigs?; Hooks and links; Lead selection; Surface rigs; Bottom rigs; Pop up rigs; Rod end set up; Float rigs; Fine tuning; What next?; Rigs for Europe by Rod Hutchinson; Catfish rigs by Vic Gillings.
