Robert Gibbings travels from the source of the Wye on Plynlimon, down the Wye valley by way of Llangurig, Rhayader, Builth Wells and other places, discussing the history, folklore and wildlife of the river as well as recording encounters and conversations with the natives. An interesting book with many good engravings by the author. This is the sequel to the author's description of a similar expedition down the River Thames, Sweet Thames Run Softly of 1940.
