It appeared only a year after the book's original appearance in Britain, and was intended by Verlag Paul Parey as a companion volume to their translation of Casting: A Textbook of Fishing Casts, by Terry Thomas. This had appeared in 1960 in the Angling Times Series, and in 1961 in German as Das Werfen von Rute and Rolle. A detailed look at fishing for trout, grayling, seatrout and salmon - mainly in Scotland.
