DITCHFIELD'S LITTLE WONDER BOOK No. 6. FISHING FOR ALL AGES: COARSE FISHING FOR BOYS AND BEGINNERS.

(c1940) ND c.1970 reprint. Small (16mo) stapled booklet (107 x 135mm). Pp32. B/w illustrations. Wrappers printed green on white. Version 4.

A series of thirty-one booklets on pets, small livestock and angling. It is difficult to find any publication details for this series, but it seems that publication began around 1940 when Frank Ditchfield was based in Edinburgh, and continued until about 1970 at which time Ditchfield's British Books Ltd were based in Leyland, Lancs. This fifth version has very poor quality indistinct printing on the front cover, there is no price on the front, (just a plain white disk where the price had been in the first edition), the publisher's address throughout is in Leyland, Lancs., and it still advertises 31 titles on the rear cover.
