FACTS ABOUT FLIES. By Thomas J. Hanna.
ND (c.1938). 8vo (139 x 214mm). 12 pp. Plain white wrappers.
A booklet issued by the author, advertising his own flies. The author makes reference to "my original list published some years ago," and also to the fact that Allcocks were manufacturing flies to his patterns. Angling (July-September 1938) refers to this as Hanna's "...latest edition of Facts About Flies." Tommy Hanna of Moneymore was an innovative and imaginative fly-dresser. He corresponded with Skues, Harding and McClelland, and Courtney Williams devotes two pages to his patterns, comparing him favourably with Skues - "but the Irishman has more imagination."
