FALCONRY FOR YOU. By Humphrey ap Evans.
(1960) 1983 revised edition. Small 8vo (131 x 204mm). Pp199. B/w photographs and illustrations. Brown boards, spine titled in gilt.
A good and readable, if rather dated, introduction to British falconry. The author's name is given as Humphrey ap Evans on the title-page, as in earlier editions. However the dust-wrapper of this edition gives his name as Humphrey Drummond. "...referred to as 'Ap' throughout his life... In 1952 Ap married the vivacious, somewhat eccentric, Jean Cherry Drummond, heiress to the Barony of Strange in Scotland... in 1966 Ap acquired, by decree, his wife's name and became known ever after as Humphrey Drummond." (Paul Beecroft and Peter Devers in The Falconers' Magazine).
