Geoffrey, son of Cecil, son of George - the third generation of Braithwaites to write an angling book. Unfortunately Geoffrey's book, compiled from his sporting diaries from 1901 to 1971, is neither well-written nor edited. He describes salmon fishing in Scotland and game and rough shooting in Scotland and Norfolk: an extraordinary picture of what it was like to be an angler and sportsman with the advantages of wealth and good connections through the early years of the twentieth century.
