" Second Edition. Containing sixteen full-page illustrations, one from a pencil drawing by S.J. Lamorna Birch, A.R.A., and others from photographs, also two full-page and twenty-five line illustrations in the text". A collection of articles on fishing by the authorities of the time including J.W. Dunne, A.H.E. Wood, H.T. Sheringham, G.G. Heywood, J.A. Hutton, T.E. Pryce-Tannatt, Ernest Crosfield and T.E. Donne. They range though various tactics for salmon, sea-trout and trout and include chapters on spinning for pike, float-fishing in the "Nottingham" style, fishing in New Zealand, and two chapters on Blagdon Lake. The Introduction is by Rafael Sabatini. "On the whole this second edition is very similar to the first, but there are three additional chapters on Worm fishing for Trout from the North country point of view; Loch Fishing; and Striking with the Dry Fly. ...made all the more delightful by the addition of some charming sketches by Mr. J.
