FISHING IN IRELAND: WHAT I HAVE SEEN WHILE FISHING AND HOW I HAVE CAUGHT MY FISH. By Philip Geen.
(1905) ND (1906) 2nd impression. 8vo (145 x 225mm). Ppxvi,190. Illustrated with a frontipiece portrait and 35 b/w plates. Light green cloth, titled in gilt on spine and in black on upper board.
This is a reprint of Part One of "What I Have Seen While Fishing And How I Have Caught My Fish," with the sub-title "What I saw and heard while pollack, salmon and trout fishing in Ireland." What I Have Seen While Fishing And How I Have Caught My Fish was published privately by the author in 1905, and quickly sold out. It was reprinted in the same year by T. Fisher Unwin, who, a little while later, reprinted Part I and Parts II and III, separately in two volumes. Each of these Fisher Unwin editions state "Second impression," but all are actually reprints from Geen's first edition.
