FISHING TACKLE. Ogden Smiths Limited, London, S.W.1.
ND (1932). Small 8vo (125 x 181mm). Pp140. 16 good colour plates of flies (343 patterns), b/w illustrations of tackle. Cloth-backed stiff card boards with rounded corners. (Stone-coloured cloth spine).
A priced catalogue of Ogden Smith's Mermaid fishing tackle including their famous Warrior split-cane flyrods and a full range of contemporary reels (including the Aerial centrepin) mostly made by other makers. This would appear to be the first of their catalogues in this format and was one of the earliest to include the sixteen colour plates of flies (343 patterns) which they continued to use in their catalogues and brochures at least up until the late 1950s.
