Instructional but with some nice anecdotes, a couple of them about fishing close to the front line in France in 1918. The Cape edition includes new material on fishing locations; specifically the Welsh Dee and the Tees. "This is a book on fishing for trout, salmon and sea-trout in the British Isles and Norway." (Arthur Ransome in the publisher's blurb).
