FLY DRESSER: THE JOURNAL OF THE FLYDRESSERS GUILD. Spring 1991.
Spring 1991. A5 booklet (148 x 209mm). Pp48. Colour plate of flies, b/w photographs and illustrations.
Until the end of 1986 this was published six times a year as the F.D.G. newsletter, since then it has been published quarterly as "Flydresser". The subtitle changed several times over the years however for the sake of simplicity and order we have catalogued all of our copies with the original subtitle. A great source of new patterns and information with good articles by many well-known names. Contents of this issue include:- Editorial; Branch news; Reader's leaders; Bookshelf and equipment reviews; Technique talk by Derek Philips; Two good ideas... and one disaster! by Chris Reeves; Coote's hi-vis midge pupa by Danny Coote; Stateside snippets by Ray Burkhart; Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Bugattis, Part I by Tony Deacon; Nymphs and shepherds come away... or, come off it! by Tom Lee; Tartan terrors by Joe Devine; Jottings from my logbook by Geoffrey Bucknall; Dai Ben by Moc Morgan; The detached body mayfly by Gary Coxon; The dark mackerel by Tony Deacon; When the grayling go mad by Hans van Klinken; The general ranger by Danny Coote; Lars Olsson's dubbing loop method by Tony Deacon; A right 'loopy' way of ribbing by Louis Noble; Lunn's particular way by Geoff Hill.
