This book is divided into three sections, the trout, other freshwater species and saltwater fly fishing. The trout section includes chapters on nymphing, fly tying for mountain trout, float tubing, and fishing with the dry fly. The second section has chapters on small mouth and largemouth bass, yellowfish, 'barbel' (actually a species of catfish), tigerfish and "the fly for all species". The saltwater section includes chapters on; popping for shad; an introduction to saltwater; flies for the brine; finding saltwater fish.
