Part of the Gowan's Nature Books Series, a book of photographs of living fish in aquaria with just a few pages of descriptive text. This copy gives the first printing as June, 1906. The British Library catalogue gives the date of the first edition as 1905. In the advertisements at the front this series are priced at 6d. each. However in this copy the advertisement is rubber-stamped "These prices are now increased" and the reprinted dust-wrapper carries the price 1s. net.
