Written from his fishing notes whilst fighting in France during the First World War, Golden Days is a lyrical and thoughtful account centred on Fedden's flyfishing experiences on Breton trout streams. First published in 1919, his writing captured the imaginations of anglers and non-anglers alike. "It has peacefulness, delicate descriptions of country people and things, and a compelling charm." This edition includes new material by Nick Lyons, Geoffrey Bucknall and Claude Belloir, as well as a colour plate of trout flies, painted by the author, and not previously published in an English edition. This is a copy of the standard edition, hardback in dust-wrapper, that was printed in limited numbers and is now out-of-print.
