In the early 1980s The Amwell Press began an ambitious project to produce anthologies of the African "Big Five." From 1984 to 1995 The Amwell Press produced four out of five titles covering buffalo, elephant, lion and leopard, in what it labeled its Big Game Series. All four books became part of its African Hunting Heritage Collection. Safari Press, in association with The Amwell Press, have now completed the series with the publication of Jim Rikhoff's Hunting the African Rhino.
