"A continuation from his 1869 volume, this includes additional treatment of such animals as yak, tahr, markhor, serow, goral, sambur, and other big game. As previously it includes natural history observations with hunting experiences". (Czech). An appendix, by Edwin Ward, gives "Directions for the preservation of skins, horns, and all other trophies in the field". Combined editions of the first and second series were issued in 1885 and 1892 however true first editions are becoming quite hard to find.
