"William Henderson's book is a richly entertaining account of fishing adventures, mostly in the North (the author was a carpet manufacturer from Durham) on such rivers as the Wear, Coquet and Tweed. Henderson knew some legendary fly-tyers of the time, including John Younger, the St Boswells shoemaker and author, James Wright of Sprouston (to whom we owe the "Greenwell's Glory" among other historic patterns), and Percival S.
