NO NEED TO LIE. By Richard Walker. First edition.
1964 1st edition. 4to (219 x 279mm). Pp92. Colour and b/w illustrations throughout by Reg Cooke, pictorial end-papers. Green boards, silver-gilt motif to upper board, spine titled in silver-gilt.
The most attractive of Walker's books - indeed one of the most attractive coarse angling books ever. Chapters on the main coarse angler's fishes*. The dust-wrapper of this book is notoriously fragile. This copy has survived better than most with only a couple of closed tears to the rear panel and no loss. The spine has faded slightly as usual and there are a few tape marks to the inside of the dust-wrapper. It is now protected in a removable plastic sleeve.
