Popovics originated many now well-known saltwater patterns, including the Surf Candy, Cotton Candy and Ultra Shrimp. His work pioneered the use of synthetics and epoxy in fly-tying. A useful guide to saltwater fishing techniques as well as patterns and tying methods. Written and photographed by his lifelong fishing companion, Ed Jaworowski, it shows in full colour and exquisite detail every step in the creation of Popovic's classic patterns, explains nuances of technique and contruction, and offers a wealth of fishing tips. Since this book was originally published Popovics has gone written a new book (Fleye Design, 2016) which includes new patterns as well as updates to several of his original flies.
