This is a six-volume set of R.S. Surtees' fox-hunting novels: Handley Cross (1843), Hawbuck Grange (1847), Mr Sponge's Sporting Tour (1853), Ask Mamma (1858), Plain or Ringlets (1858-1860), Mr Facey Romford's Hounds (1865). This particular set, The "Jorrocks" Edition has handsome, illustrated cloth. The same "Jorrocks" Edition, in identical cloth was also issued in the same year by Bradbury, Agnew and Co of London. This was a reissue, The "Jorrocks" Edition appearing in 1892 under Bradbury, Agnew and Co's imprint. This Bayntun set of 1926 contains no advertisements.
