This is a detailed and practical description of many species of fur bearing animal, their habits relevant to the trapper, with varying methods of capturng them. The publisher's name is given on the title-page as A.R. Harding, Publisher, 106 Walnut Street, Columbus, Ohio. On the title-page verso, however, the publisher's name is given in the copyright declaration as A.G. Harding Pub. Co. The adverts to the rear give A.R. Harding, Publisher as publisher of Deadfalls and Snares, and, Mink Trapping. Both of these titles were written by A.R. Harding. An advert for Fur - Fish - Game (Harding's Magazine) gives the publisher's address as 174 E. Long Street, Columbus, to which address it also refers prospective purchasers of The Trapper's Companion (Fourth Edition).
