Originally titled "Fishing Vignettes: Being Extracts from a Diary and Other Fragments 1875 to 1922" (Home Words, London 1923), this is a reprint of slightly less than half of those extracts, which was issued with Trout and Salmon Magazine in their Forgotten Gems Series. The text covers mostly Norwegian, Scottish and Irish salmon fishing around the turn of the century as well as a certain amount of interesting autobiographical material. This edition is an inexpensive way of obtaining at least part of what is, in the first edition, costly and hard to find.
