# This is an excellent, comprehensive guide to the zoology of African safari animals. The area covered is the land south of the equatorial forests in the west and Somalia in the east. The book includes advice on destinations and travel, but is mostly about the animals and their biology. Authoritative but aimed at the thinking public rather than professional scientists.
