Publisher's green cloth, spines titled in gilt, boards with blind-stamped decoration.

"This magazine was originally published in monthly numbers, and 'by arrangement' ceased to exist when 'Land and Water' made its appearance. Many of the best angling writers contributed to it, and it was full of all kinds of fishing gossip and miscellaneous articles of interest to anglers" (Simpson).
