A guide to the dressings of flies used on the River Yore in North Yorkshire, and to their use in angling for grayling. It came out shortly after the death of the author, being finished for publication by the author's friend, Thomas Hanley Barker (1813-1876), to whom Jackson had dedicated the book ("To T.H.B. Esq."), and who provided a short biography of Jackson (pages 45-46).
