George Kelson's Tips was published in 1901 by the author and includes pages of the marvellous contemporary advertisements by which Kelson financed his printing. Anyone interested in the great era of the late 19th century salmon fishing will find this book a must. His comments on the latest tackle and flies are fascinating, all couched in characteristic High Victorian prose. The book gives hints on the rod to select, the fly to use, methods of casting, wading and knots, and general riverside tips. He finishes the book with a few pages of reviews of his book The Salmon Fly.
