TROUT AND TROUT WATERS. By Lancelot R. Peart. Angling Times Series.
1956 1st edition. 8vo (145mm x 223mm). Pp176. Bibliography. Green boards, spine titled in silver and silver kingfisher motif to upper board.
A good book on the management of trout fisheries, both stillwater and river, with interesting sections on why trout fishing deteriorates, the requirements of the fish, stocking, water quality and general fishery management. * This copy has the second issue dust-wrapper. The actual book is exactly the same as the first issue but the green George Allen and Unwin dust-wrapper (which was uniform with other books in the George Allen and Unwin Angling Times Series) has been replaced by one with a design by Reg Cooke, and carrying the EMAP publisher's logo at the base of the spine.
