This book was originally published in a quarto size with illustrations under the title of From Major to Minor". This edition occurs in two states; rusty-red cloth and light brown, embossed cloth. Both have the same waves and leaping salmon motifs. This copy has the rusty-red cloth. In this edition, the title of the final chapter "Envoi", is mis-spelled "Envol" at the head of page 216.
